NanoParticles and Antibiotic-Resistant Infections

University of South Carolina NanoCenter researchers from two different backgrounds – microbiologist Dr. Alan Decho of the Arnold School of Public Health (right) and nanochemist Dr. Brian Benicewicz of the College of Arts and Sciences (left) – will collaborate on the study that is the nation’s first to examine whether antibiotics infused with nanoparticles can cure infections that have become resistant to medicines currently available.
